I am Guido Smit,

an interim and freelance marketing consultant who helps brands to become more effective.

This means three things:

1. Cut the crap

Focus on proven strategies instead of losing yourself in shiny new tactics. No worries, there’s room for experimentation and ‘being first’ can sometimes be useful, but effectiveness should always be your ultimate goal.

2. Surpass customer expectations

It doesn’t matter if you work in digital, branding, performance marketing or every other marketing related function: you should deliver (slightly) more than the customer expects. This creates memorable moments and makes your brand grow.

3. Combine creativity and data

It’s much easier to combine these things than people often think. Design Thinking and Lean Startup are examples of methods that can bridge the gap between both disciplines – and bring your results to the next level.
